Selling a Mobile Home in California circa 2011

We have a gorgeous home.  Stunning, really.  Hardwood floors, granite counter tops, tile showers, a beautiful color scheme, high ceilings, lots of window, stone gas fireplace, and so on and so forth.

Our home is on the quiet end of a kid and dog-friendly neighborhood, near the light rail that takes you to downtown Mountain View or downtown San Jose, your choice, with easy access to several freeways.  There's a greenbelt just a skip away that you can walk all the way to Mission College and the Mercado, if you so desired.

We live in a mobile home.  At the time that we bought this home, just a few years ago, the new townhomes across the way were priced at over $800k.  Our gorgeous mobile home cost us $196k.  At the time, that was a fantastic compromise; nearly a steal.  At the time...

Our lovely home has been on the market for months now, priced lower than the amount we still owe on it.  Not a single person has looked at it.
